Yesterday was a happy day for readers, booksellers and publishers in Yerevan. New brick and mortar bookstore was opened in Yerevan. It is on 43 Mashtots Avenue, near Matenadaran, both of these names being very symbolic: Mesrop Mashtots is the inventor of the Armenian Alphabet, and Matenadaran is one of the greatest depositaries of ancient Armenian manuscripts.

In reality, the new bookstore is the 4-th in the Epigraph bookstore chain, and this branch is the biggest one.

The last week of April 2023 was significant for the Ankyunacar Publishing. Lusine Abgaryan's Post-memory, Fiction, Graphic novel: the reference of modern French literature to the Armenian Genocide (translated from French by Grigor Janikyan, edited by Theophana Vardanyan). The book presents the Armenian translation of the scientific thesis successfully defended by a young scientist last year at the Sorbonne University in Paris (scientific supervisors: Bernard Franco and Ani Janikyan).

Recently, Hakob Keoseyan, a prominent Armenian scholar, found the manuscript of Cyril of Alexandria's Commentary on the Letter to the Hebrews. This book was missing from the huge theological heritage of Cyril, who was the archbishop of Alexandria (412-444). Cyril presided in the Third Universal Council in Ephesus (431), where his ideas were accepted as the norm of Christology.
